Park Hyatt Auckland opened in late 2020 in the midst of the pandemic.
Park Hyatt Auckland will feature 195 rooms.

Four restaurants and bars will headline the debut of the Park Hyatt brand in New Zealand, with the hotel announcing it will begin to welcome guests from September 15, 2020.

The culinary line-up will consist of the hotel’s signature restaurant ‘Onemata’, which will specialise in local produce and a rotating menu based on seasonal ingredients. Guests will also have access to the more casual eatery, ‘The Pantry’, designed as a quick grab-and-go environment or a relaxed menu for those preferring to eat-in.

The hotel’s all-day dining venue, ‘The Living Room’, will be the setting for breakfast, also offering a quaint afternoon tea experience overlooking the harbour. Finally, guests can relax at the ‘Captain’s Bar’, which will offer local takes on classic cocktails. The bar will also feature a sizeable list of fortified spirits along with a menu of share plates and snacks.

Onemata Restaurant at Park Hyatt Auckland will be the property’s signature eatery.

Park Hyatt Auckland will overlook Waitematā Harbour, with 195 guest rooms ranging in size from 47 square metres to the mammoth 245sqm Presidential Suite. All accommodations offers distinctive Maori features including locally-made tukutuku panels and rugs. Rooms also feature marble bathrooms with walk-in shower and deep-soaking tub with Le Labo bath amenities.

General Manager, Brett Sweetman, said he was looking forward to introducing New Zealand to the exceptional brand of service that Park Hyatt is known for.

“In spite of Covid-19, we have kept all 150 employees on board thanks to owners Fu Wah and will recruit more colleagues when the hotel opens,” Sweetman said.

“We have created something that will be truly special, and we invite Aucklanders to experience our food and beverage offerings in our waterfront surroundings alongside the standout views.”
