Corporate housing operator, Oakwood, has outlined a target of opening 20 new managed locations for short-term accommodation across the Asia Pacific over the next two years as part of a pivot in its growth objectives.

The company currently operates 80 Oakwood residences globally, with the change in focus aimed at developing its on-property services and doubling its portfolio over the next five years.

Oakwood currently operates six brands – Oakwood Premier, Oakwood Apartments, Oakwood Residence, Oakwood Suites, Oakwood Studios and Oakwood WaterWalk – each catering to a different market segment and service level.

Oakwood CEO and Asia Pacific Managing Director, Dean Schreiber, said the company was excited about the next phase of its growth to see it offer branded hospitality services.

“Oakwood has established a distinctive edge of providing serviced apartments that offer generous residential space and exceptional guest services in Asia Pacific,” Schreiber said.

“We believe that these furnished apartments have a strong potential to develop as the mainstream alternative to hotel accommodations, as we continue to bring this offering across the globe.”
