The Accommodation Association is urging the Federal Government to expand its payment to regional Victoria.

Quest Apartment Hotels has continued its decade-long relationship with property firm, Pellicano Group, by committing to a deal to develop a new Quest outlet in Ballarat in regional Victoria.

Set to feature as part of a multimillion-dollar redevelopment of Ballarat Station, the 77-apartment Quest Ballarat Station will be located close to the V-Line railway, offering direct access to the Melbourne CBD. The overall precinct will see the former Goods Shed converted into a multi-purpose convention centre operated by the Spotless Group, with a multi-level car park, retail offerings, restaurants and transport interchange also featuring.

Quest General Manager – Growth, James Shields, said the serviced apartment operator was looking forward to opening its second project in the Victorian regional hub.

“We’ve engaged Pellicano for several new Quest Apartment Hotels properties in Melbourne, regional Victoria and Brisbane over the last decade. The mixed-use model offers guests more options and flexibility thanks to the variety of partners that get involved.”

Quest’s current pipeline of properties due to open in the next two years now numbers eleven, with a variety of serviced apartment franchises in various stages of construction and fit-out across Australia and New Zealand.

Construction work is now underway, with the development expected to be completed by early 2021.
