Fifteen new hotels will be added to Accor’s Asia Pacific network in Singapore following the signing of a franchise deal with Global Premium Hotels.

Of the new hotels, 13 are currently trading as the Fragrance Hotel brand with the remaining two operating under the Parc Sovereign Hotel flag. The deal will see the former rebrand as Ibis Budget, with the Parc Sovereign hotels to become a Mercure and Ibis Styles, along with all associated asset enhancement initiatives to bring each hotel into line with brand standards.

The deal will see 1,621 rooms added to Accor’s Singapore portfolio, reinforcing the company’s presence as the largest hotel operator in the city-state with 3,357 rooms in the luxury and premium market sector, 1,840 in midscale and 2,428 under economy brands.

Accor Asia Pacific Chairman and CEO, Michael Issenberg, said the company was delighted to be entrusted by Global Premium Hotels with these properties.

“Accor’s strong presence in and understanding of the Singapore market will be complemented by these additional hotels and with our proven expertise in mid-tier and economy hotel operations, we hope to bring added value to the owners.”
