Asian resort operator Sands China has joined the InterContinental Alliance Resorts group, opening benefits at its resorts to IHG Rewards Club members.

The tie-up sees The Venetian Macau and The Parisian Macau open points-earning capability to IHG Rewards Club members. Sister property The Venetian Las Vegas will remain in the alliance as part of its ongoing deal which began in 2010.

From 2020, the alliance will contain the soon-to-open Londoner Hotel. Holiday Inn Macau Cotai Central, currently undergoing renovations, will also come into the fold once works are complete. In total, the alliance will soon comprise more than 13,000 rooms and suites. Guests earning IHG Rewards points via stays at Sands China will be able to redeem them at any of IHG’s 5,000 properties globally.

Sands China President, Dr Wilfred Wong, said the company’s partnership with IHG reinforces its commitment to Macau.

“We are delighted to be expanding our strategic alliance with our long-term partner, IHG, not only for our existing portfolio of The Venetian Macao and The Parisian Macao, but also The Londoner Hotel when it opens.”

The alliance will run through until 2027 at the earliest.
