An Element Room at Element by Westin Melbourne Richmond.

Marriott International has announced it will open the doors to Australia’s first Element by Westin on 12 June, with reservations and pre-opening special offers now in market for the eco-conscious Westin-offshoot brand.

Situated in Richmond’s Botanicca Corporate Park, the healthy, active traveller is the key focus behind the offerings of Element by Westin hotels. A nature-inspired, wellbeing design philosophy has been employed at the hotel, aimed at helping guests maintain a balanced lifestyle when in-house.

The 168-room Element by Westin Melbourne Richmond was designed by Rothelowman, the exterior of the hotel curves to follow the shore line and draws on a reflective curtain wall to trace the landscape. All rooms and public facilities have water-saving taps and fixtures, energy-efficient appliances and lighting and neutral tones inspired by Australian flora and fauna. The hotel also operates and encourages guests to make use of an extensive recycling program with multiple opportunities to do so.

Fitness is highly encouraged at the new hotel, with bicycles available to rent to guests as part of its Motion Fitness program. A fitness centre open 24/7 features the latest Technogym equipment, with the hotel located close to bike paths for guests to explore the local area.

The hotel is also pet-friendly, meaning guests can bring their animalia companions to stay with them if so desired.
