The new beach-themed rooms are aimed at couples looking for a weekend getaway.

Seven guest-house style rooms have been opened by The Boathouse Group as a new visitor offering at Barrenjoey House in Palm Beach on Sydney’s northern outskirts.

Rooms are located on the upper level of the 1923-built heritage-listed hotel, which has come about following an extensive renovation which saw the entire interior virtually gutted and rebuilt. The new-look house is loaded with works from local artists.

Interior designs of the rooms are beach-themed, with pieces including shell-shaped mirrors, coral artefacts and patterned lampshades. Each room offers an ensuite and views of either the property’s courtyard or the Pittwater. A larger loft suite on the top level also includes a dining room and lounge room. A shared lounge and outdoor courtyard are open exclusively to hotel guests.

Barrenjoey’s new hotel offering complements a growing presence for The Boathouse Group in accommodation circles, following the opening of The Boathouse Hotel Patonga on the NSW Central Coast. The growing group also operates its flagship Palm Beach café and bakery.
