TFE Hotels has opened St Marks Road Co., an exciting new dining concept that adds to the buzzing food and wine scene in the Sydney Airport precinct. Located at Adina Apartment Hotel Sydney Airport, it boasts excellent coffee, delicious eats, great tunes and a welcoming neighbourhood feel, for guests and locals to enjoy day and night. A beautiful fit-out greets customers, featuring exposed brick walls, light wood counters and splashes of green in the array of natural plants.
St Marks Road Co. offers locals and employees in the nearby business precinct a place to grab an excellent coffee with daily specials such as a free coffee with any food purchase, buy-one-get-one-free sandwiches or unlimited top-ups of tea. St Marks Road Co. is fully licensed, serving popular beers, wines and cocktails. On Friday afternoons from 4pm-6pm there will be half-price drinks and during the FIFA World Cup, the game will stream on the big screen.
This is the first new food and beverage project launched by TFE Hotels Director of Food & Beverage, Justin Newton, since he started in his new role early last year. He said it would provide a refreshing approach to hotel dining. Rather than focusing on scoring high culinary accolades, it would offer a comfortable quality environment that attracts locals – so hotel guests can feel immersed in the community.
“We’re not trying to challenge our guests – we want them to see us as a familiar space,” he said. “With a considered fit-out, warm lighting and a carefully curated playlist with great sound, it will be comfortable and accessible. Comfort comes from familiarity, and we want to create a familiar area that people will immediately feel relaxed in and want to visit regularly. It’ll be food you know, drinks you like, and an environment you’ll love. Oh, and great coffee – you have to have great coffee.”
