Doma Hotels and Make-A-Wish Australia are joining forces on December 17 to host the Bake-A-Wish High Tea on the Burbury Terrace.

Twenty per cent of proceeds from the day will go towards the Make-A-Wish Australia Foundation, to help continue their work granting wishes for seriously ill children.

Since 1985, Make-A-Wish Australia has transformed the lives of children battling life-threatening medical conditions through the healing power of a wish.

“Wishes give seriously ill children hope for the future, strength to face the challenges of their illness and joy from their incredible wish experience,” said Make-A-Wish National Campaigns Coordinator, Alexandra Ryan.

In 2017 Make-A-Wish has received more wish applications than ever before. Two of these wishes will be granted the morning of the Bake-A-Wish High Tea, by Doma Hotels Executive Chef, Fabien Wagnon.

With Chef Fabien’s direction, the children will create traditional French cakes and sweets in the Hotel Realm kitchen.

Once the cooking lesson is over, the children and their families will attend the Bake-A-Wish High Tea on the Burbury Terrace.

“All I want from the day is to make them smile.” Fabien said.

“I have been told that both children have a passion for baking so I am excited to be able to share my love for food with them and perhaps learn a thing or two myself.”

Bake-A-Wish High Tea will be held on December 17 from 12:30pm on the Burbury Terrace.
