Storehouse on the Park, the beautifully remodelled dining space at Vibe Hotel Rushcutters Bay, Sydney, is drawing locals and hotel guests to enjoy its new menus, which include a “Fries Friday” assortment of 10 types of fries, Cone Bay “Barra Monday” and a full Sunday roast served on share platters designed for groups of friends or family.

The bar and dining area, with its louvered windows, hanging plants, cane furniture and striking tiling, was unveiled in December and has since become the place for locals and hotel guests to connect, dine, work or revive. An open display kitchen puts chef on show and a bar-deli section offers salads and sandwiches to go.

The lunch and dinner menu includes a range of delicious small dishes, designed for entrees or to share, from grilled haloumi with witlof and herb and citrus dressing, to garlic prawns in apple cider, or buffalo mozzarella with heirloom tomatoes. The “Bigs” include pork belly with slaw, seeded mustard and apple butter; a juicy and tender striploin with Paris mash and cherry truss tomatoes in red wine jus; and a delicious dish for vegetable lovers among us, grilled asparagus with egg yolk, walnut pesto and brussel sprouts. The $25 daily specials also include mussels on Thursdays and Chicken Milanese on Thursdays.

Vibe Hotel Rushcutters Bay, Sydney’s full refurbishment last year involved transforming its 258 rooms, lobby, bar and dining area into cool and contemporary spaces with a 1950s Palm Springs theme, complete with plenty of indoor greenery to reflect its tranquil park-side setting. The rooftop pool deck also has a fresh new look, where hotel guests take in full views of the yachts in Sydney Harbour.

Storehouse on the Park offers direct access to its sunny dining terrace and veranda from Rushcutters Bay Park, is open from breakfast until late and offers one of the eastern suburb’s few four-legged friendly outdoor dining areas.
