Sydney Harbour Marriott unveiled its AUD $15 million makeover yesterday (Mar 30), which includes three new drinking and dining destinations and a newly designed lobby and reception area.

“Opened in 1989, Sydney Harbour Marriott has been a long-standing Sydney institution for 28 years,” said Sydney Harbour Marriott General Manager, Jennifer Brown.

“Drawing on both local and international expertise, this transformation will position the hotel as a serious contender in Sydney’s food and drink scene.

“Located in a space so quintessentially Australian, the three venues’ identities are reminiscent of the heritage of the site on which they are built, yet present exciting, contemporary concepts for the modern Sydney-sider.

“Attention to detail was considered in every aspect of the transformation,” she said.

The new dining venues opening their doors are Silvester’s, a restaurant that features locally-sourced produce-driven cuisine; Three Bottle Man, an inventive café-by-day and cocktail bar-by-night meeting place and a newly expanded Customs House Bar.
