Sydney’s ‘hotel for the arts’ Sofitel Sydney Wentworth is offering guests an art-inspired high tea from 16th July 2016 to 9th October 2016 to celebrate the Art Gallery of New South Wales’ (AGNSW) Archibald Prize 2016.

Sofitel Sydney Wentworth Hotel Manager, Craig Reaume, said the hotel was proud to be yet again the official hotel partner of the eagerly anticipated portrait prize.

To help showcase Australia’s favourite art prize, Sofitel Sydney Wentworth’s Executive Chef Boris Cuzon has designed an indulgent High Tea, creatively served on a gold, bevelled picture frame in theme with the luxury High Tea experience.

The interpretative collection of food-art delicacies puts fun and imagination back into high tea, with fine art delectables including lemon meringue tartlets, mango éclair, vanilla bean panna cotta and homemade scones.

“We’re delighted to continue our long-standing partnership with the Archibald Prize, in a year that marks the 50th anniversary of the Wentworth Hotel and Sofitel’s 11th year working alongside the Gallery to promote the esteemed art prize and exhibition,” Reaume said.
