With its strong focus on art and the creative industries, QT Sydney has forged a partnership with Australia’s number-one tourist destination – the Sydney Opera House.
Over the next 12 months QT and the Sydney Opera House will present offers and benefits to hotel guests and venue members as well as collaborate on a series of special experiences to be announced throughout 2016.
This includes an accommodation experience to coincide with Vivid LIVE – the Sydney Opera House’s annual celebration of contemporary music on the nation’s most famous stages, held as part of Vivid Sydney, the world’s largest festival of light, music and ideas.
The QT and Sydney Opera House VIP Experience includes designer accommodation at QT Sydney, exclusive backstage access and a tour of the Opera House followed by cocktails in Vivid LIVE’s Deep Purple Pool Hall, while enjoying views of the illuminated Opera House sails and other stunning Vivid Sydney installations across the harbour.
QT guests will also have access to one-off, money-can’t-buy experiences including private tours and pre-sale Opera House ticket offers. They will also receive the latest Opera House news via the hotel’s QT Life blog, with its strong art and culture focus.
As one of the world’s busiest performing arts centres, the Sydney Opera House welcomes more than 8.2 million visitors a year, hosting 1,900 performances attended by 1.45 million people.
This is a fitting collaboration for QT given the hotel’s ongoing support of the entertainment and creative industries and historical preservation of two of Sydney’s grandest and most prominent heritage-listed buildings – The State Theatre and former Gowings department store.
