SilverNeedle rebrands Chifley to Sage Hotel Wollongong

Sage Wolloongong Suite

SilverNeedle Hospitality has rebranded its Chifley Wollongong property under the fast-growing Sage brand.

Sage Hotel Wollongong features 168-rooms that provide glimpses of the beach as well as 13 function spaces that can cater to more than 400 guests.

As a Sage Hotel, guests receive complimentary WiFi in their rooms with much welcomed mini bar offerings comparable to local convenience stores and laundry services at street pricing.

“We have placed great emphasis on staff training to ensure that we are able to deliver on our service promise as our goal is for guests to feel as though their stay at the hotel is an extension of their home, “said Sean Flynn, EVP, Hotels Division, SilverNeedle Hospitality.

“This includes making the hotel a place where there is a sense of familiarity with our products and services and where guests feel that they are a part of this special community,” he said.

Located just over an hour south of Sydney, Sage Hotel Wollongong sits moments from the Pacific Ocean, offering endless pristine beaches dotted with rockpools, ocean baths and golden sands as far as the eye can see, and best of all it’s minutes from the city centre and adjacent to WIN sports and Entertainment Centre.

“Sage Hotel Wollongong is well-poised to meet the demands for contemporary 4-star accommodation sought by both the corporate market as well as leisure guests and families,” said Paul Wilsher, General Manager of Sage Hotel Wollongong.

“The short distance of this coastal town from bustling Sydney will resonate well with them and SNH’s decision to launch the brand here is testament to the potential this city has to offer,” he said.

The former Grand Chifley Adelaide was the first property in SilverNeedle Hospitality’s portfolio to be rebranded to Sage Hotels in June 2015.

SilverNeedle Hospitality has announced that a new-build Sage Hotels in West Perth will open in 2016.
