Club Carlson, the global rewards program from Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, has announced benefit and redemption updates to its loyalty program beginning on March 15, 2014.

Club Carlson will continue to offer a Faster Way to a Free Night, as well as world-class services, privileges, and redemption opportunities.

Club Carlson members will now have a choice of room types when redeeming for Award Nights. In addition to standard rooms, members can redeem additional points to stay in premium rooms at participating hotels. Room types, availability and amenities will vary by hotel. Hotel redemption categories will be updated, and a new tier added, as the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group will soon be rolling out an expertly curated collection of luxury hotels, under the Quorvus Collection.

Additionally, a member’s redeemed Award Nights will be combined with a member’s qualifying paid nights to count towards Elite Status. Club Carlson members can now earn points on food and beverage purchases during Award Night stays, if charged to the room.

“Since we launched Club Carlson nearly three years ago, we have always strived to provide a great experience and industry-leading value to our members,” said Carlson Rezidor’s Senior Vice President of Customer Engagement, Rachael Marret.

“We are pleased to continue to evolve the program and offer even greater benefit to our most valued guests.”

Members will continue to earn 20 points per dollar spent, with Award Nights still starting at 9,000 Gold Points. Beginning March 15, 2014, the rate at which Elite tier members earn bonus points will change to 15 % for Silver and 35% for Gold. Members will now receive online booking bonuses on a promotional basis. Highly-valued Concierge members will continue to receive rich rewards including room upgrades, an in-room welcome gift, complimentary breakfast, and will retain a 75 percent Gold Points bonus on eligible stays.

Members will continue to enjoy valuable redemption options, such as prepaid cards, airline miles, and more. Additionally, members who stay frequently can earn Elite membership and enjoy exclusive benefits including complimentary room upgrades, early check-in and late check-out, and Elite Rollover Nights.
