HM can exclusively reveal all of Accor’s Vacation Club hotels are rebranding from Grand Mercure to The Sebel.
The first properties to have rebranded – Grand Mercure Flinders Lane, Grand Mercure Forest Resort, Grand Mercure The Vines, Grand Mercure Busselton, Grand Mercure Pinnacle and Coral Coast Palm Cove – with more to follow by early February 2014.
Accor Vacation Club CEO Craig Wood told HM the properties they “manage or own, the whole complex are rebranding to either The Sebel or Mgallery”.
“The Sebel is a premier apartment product, with a rich heritage, a product known for style and sophistication whilst delivering impeccable service, absolute discretion and service that goes above and beyond are part of the Accor Vacation Club mantra,” he said.
“In addition, a focus has been on the comforts of space and the facilities to provide guests with the independence and freedom they desire.
“Accor Vacation Club has found the development of the Sebel brand and its brand pillars to reflect the product that we pride ourselves on delivering to members and guests,” he told HM.
Along with Grand Mercure The Vines, the entire The Vines Resort and Country Club – incorporating Novotel Vines Resort – has rebranded as The Sebel Swan Valley The Vines.
Fellow West Australian resort Busselton Apartments has become The Sebel Busselton.
“The Sebel Busselton has just completed a full refurbishment of its 2 and 3 bedrooms apartments and public areas, so guests can experience the full Sebel treatment,” Wood said.
“Staff trained in discretion and top flight service will host guests in Sebel style – sophisticated elegance.”
The move further marks Accor’s plan to grow The Sebel brand in Australia and next, into Asia.
