EXCLUSIVE BY JAMES WILKINSON IN BERLIN, GERMANY

Accor’s President and Chief Operating Officer, Yann Caillère, says Asia-Pacific is the market to watch in 2013.

Speaking exclusively to HM on camera at the 2013 ITB trade fair in Berlin, Germany, Caillère was most upbeat about Asia-Pacific, a market Accor has grown significantly in over the last five years.

“Asia-Pacific is the most exciting market,” he said. “It’s where we experience the highest growth, followed by Latin America where we are very strong and experience high growth too.”

He also spoke about the Mirvac integration, as well as Accor’s push for more upper-upscale and luxury properties, as well as performance across the company.
