Belgravia Leisure has been appointed by the Victorian State Government to manage the operations of the Lake Mountain Alpine Resort.

The Lake Mountain Alpine Resort is located 120 kilometres from the heart of Melbourne and is the world’s third most visited cross-country ski resort.

Belgravia Leisure has been contracted by the Lake Mountain Alpine Resort management Board and the Victorian State Government to enhance the resorts current services and attractions whilst increasing the resorts operational viability.

“Lake Mountain has an important role in the community and makes a valuable contribution to the local economy and to recreation and tourism in Victoria,” said Victoria’s Minister for the Environment and Climate Change, Ryan Smith.

Belgravia Leisure is a leader in community leisure, sports, golf and tourism facility management and the company’s Chief Executive Adrian Johnston said the company was “proud to be managing such a key tourism asset”.

“Lake Mountain attracts over 100,000 visitors annually and as a result has and continues to play a key role in the recovery of the Marysville community following the bushfires of 2009,” he said.

“As with all of the community assets that we manage on behalf of State and Local Governments, we will focus on developing the skills of local employees to provide a sustainable economic contribution to the community”.

Johnston said Belgravia Leisure‘s experience in managing large-scale recreational facilities will ensure the further growth and development of exceptional visitor experiences at the resort.

“We are looking forward to enhancing the current range of winter and summer sports and our programming expertise will ensure the viable development of many exciting recreational activities.”

Belgravia Leisure currently manages over 75 diverse venues nationally and internationally.
