Radisson Blu Liuzhou

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group’s head of brands, Gordon McKinnon says the company is happy with the re-invigoration of the Radisson brand, which has included the roll-out of Radisson Blu label on a global level.

The company initially announced the move in early 2010 in an effort to cleanup the Radisson brand and at the time Carlson announced the introduction of the ‘Blu brand’ – which initially was to re-brand the European properties that were formerly Radisson SAS – that has ended up being a significant success for the company, particularly in Europe and Asia-Pacific.

Speaking exclusively to HM on camera at the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Global Business Conference in Nassau, the Bahamas, recently, McKinnon said the roll-out has been a success for both the company and owners alike.

He also discussed the further transformation of the Radisson ‘green’ brand, which will be enhanced during 2012.
