Mint has debuted in Melbourne

Mint, in partnership with Ubertas, has made a striking new addition to their property portfolio by signing Rhapsody on Melbourne’s St Kilda Road.

Representing their first foray into the Melbourne scene, Mint will act as hotel operator for Rhapsody’s 145 serviced apartments.

This corporate offering is part of a larger brand development phase currently taking place within the company, as they look to increase and broaden their presence outside of the Queensland market.

Designed by award winning Melbourne architect and current President of the AIA,
Karl Fender, Rhapsody comprises residential and serviced apartments which are now open for business.

This introduction into Melbourne is significant for Mint Resorts and Apartments, which, after a period of consolidation, are now looking to expand.

“Melbourne is a thriving business market and as it has been just voted the number one most liveable city in the world, it makes sense to competitively expand Mint’s quality accommodation options in Melbourne,” said Mint Resorts and Apartments General Manager Michael Tozer.

Mint serviced apartments rise up to level 6, following which the Rhapsody residents reside and all Mint apartments include fee WiFi, storage space, desk stations, iPod docking systems and fully serviced kitchenettes and have access to 24-hour concierge.

Executive Chairman of the Ubertas Group, Albert Dadon AM, has been the Chairman of the Melbourne International Jazz festival and his love of the soulful sound resonates throughout the project.

“I see Rhapsody as a very positive venture for the Ubertas Group and one which, I believe, will lead to many more significant hotel accommodation alliances in the future,” Dadon said.

Mint has furnished their serviced apartments with soft upholstery, art work and distinctive chairs and lounges. Alluding to the musical name of the building, Rhapsody, commissioned art work is featured in all the rooms to striking effect.

Rooms start from AUD$129 per night.
