Miami's Hotel Victor

Thompson Hotels, an international collection of luxury hotels in major urban centers, has added Hotel Victor in Miami Beach to its boutique portfolio.

Located in Miami’s South Beach, Thompson Hotels will rebrand the historic hotel as the Thompson Ocean Drive through a multi-million dollar renovation to both guest rooms and public spaces, to be completed in early 2012.

Thompson Hotels management is effective immediately, introducing the group’s renowned sophistication and service while maintaining the landmark’s legacy as one of the most desirable hotels in South Beach.

“We are elated to bring Thompson Hotels to Miami, and look forward to introducing the Thompson nuances of style and service to the market,” said Thompson Hotels co-owner, Stephen Brandman.

“Whether staying at 60 Thompson in NYC, Thompson Beverly Hills in LA or Thompson Ocean Drive, guests will rest assured that they will receive the same outstanding level of service that defines the Thompson brand.”

Hotel Victor was originally opened in 1936, and underwent a major restoration by acclaimed designer, Jacques Garcia in 2004.  The celebrated hotel located in the heart of Miami Beach’s famed Art Deco District features: 90 stylish guestrooms, most with ocean views; a stunning infinity pool; a 6,000 square foot Spa V; the fine Northern Italian BICE Ristorante and BICE Café; three lounges and bars; as well as 6,000 square feet of unique indoor and outdoor meeting and event spaces.

“We at Thompson are particularly inspired by the opportunity to reinvent such a historically significant hotel,” said Thompson Hotels co-owner Jason Pomeranc. “We believe that the Thompson Ocean Drive will reflect the spirit of fashion, entertainment, and design that has made South Beach such a unique destination.”
