Standing out from the crowd is something Quickbeds.com General Manager John Feenaghty was determined to do when he signed the controversial footballer, Warwick Capper, as brand ambassador.

Known for his outrageous antics, trademark tight shorts and bogan mullet haircut, Feenaghty is leveraging the former Sydney Swan full forward’s unmistakable cachet to re-launch the multimillion dollar Flight Centre owned accommodation booking website.

Feenaghty discussed how the decision to use Capper set a platform for company growth, a case study on the business, interesting facts, figures and advice on how to implement an accommodation online strategy when he addressed delegates at today’s (Mar 23) No Vacancy conference in Sydney.

“I’ve learnt that standing out from the crowd in a highly competitive and commoditised market is crucial to survive,” Feenaghty said.

Quickbeds.com has also integrated social media as part of their overall growth strategy, so it ties in with offline and online promotions, ads and sales. The Quickbeds.com Facebook site no has over 10,000 fans which is more than any local competitors.
