Carlson is marking 200 million hours of free internet access given to its guests in the past three years across Asia-Pacific.

Since 2010, the group has provided all guests with complimentary unlimited access to internet in all hotels as part of its service promise and guest experience, according to Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group’s Executive Vice President of Revenue Generation – Asia-Pacific, Lucinda Semark.

“We are proud to be one of the trailblazers from 2010 providing free Internet to all guests while many hotels continue to charge for Internet usage,” she said.

“Back then, we knew that Internet connectivity was one of the top things that was important to a business or leisure traveler and that still remains true today.

“With our 100% guest satisfaction policy, we went one step further, ahead of many of our peers to set a new benchmark of providing free Internet access to all guests, not just our loyal guests.

“Our guests love it as the Internet and connectivity are critical to how we live our lives today,” she said.

Carlson offers guests free internet access in lobbies and common areas, as well as rooms and recently, Radisson Blu Plaza Hyderabad Banjara Hills in India became the company’s first property to offer free WiFi in the hotel cars, something Semark says will be extended to more hotels in Asia-Pacific.
