The rapid expansion of Club Wyndham South Pacific in its 25th year – the addition of 12 new resorts – proves the vacation ownership concept still has plenty of growth potential.
The addition of 12 resorts to Club Wyndham South Pacific before the halfway point of 2025 is an unprecedented expansion of its resort network – and proves growth potential continues to exist in the vacation ownership concept.
Currently celebrating its 25th year, the club started with a handful of apartments at Denarau Island in Fiji. It now offers close to 60,000 owners 67 properties in Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, US (Hawaii), Italy, Germany and France.
The next addition – recently acquired by club developer, Travel + Leisure Co. – is Club Wyndham Mission Beach. This absolute beachfront resort offers two pools with ocean views, day spa, restaurant and bar, and a mix of 48 hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom apartments and loft-style rooms.
In coming months, the apartments will progressively join the club as the resort becomes the club’s 67th acquisition, as Travel + Leisure Co. invests in a multi-million-dollar refurbishment of accommodation and common spaces.
This follows the purchase of vacation ownership interests in 11 timeshare properties – growing the club to include Paihia and Queenstown in New Zealand, and Magnetic Island, Forster, Tomakin, Kyneton, Murray River, Mildura and Mornington Peninsula in Australia.
Combined, both acquisitions expand the club’s Australian network to 36 properties and link most of the east coast.
The club now presents a compelling value proposition for travellers wanting drive-to holidays or extended road trips. Current benefits provided by Travel + Leisure Co. give eligible owners freedom to exchange credits for motorhome hire or flights, making modern vacation ownership a concept of boundless possibility.
As the club grows, Travel + Leisure Co. searches for complementary expansion opportunities across the South Pacific. Considering the use of mixed-use properties within its clubs, vacation ownership presents opportunities for property owners wanting to sell, developers of new properties, and hotel owners investigating better yield.
