The Asia Pacific Hotel Industry Conference and Exhibition (AHICE) is underway in Adelaide, with over 1600 industry leaders descending on the city this week to attend.
The first events took place on Tuesday May 6, with a full day of leading hotel architecture and design conference, Design Inn Symposium, and the fourth edition of the Future Leaders Forum taking place at Hilton Adelaide.
On Wednesday May 7, the main AHICE program got underway, with hotel leaders packing out the main conference room at the Adelaide Oval.
A plethora of local and international hotel industry leaders have already taken to the stage including Minor Hotels CEO Dillip Rajakarier; IHG SVP & MD EAPAC, Rakit Sukumaran; renowned hotel owner Dr Jerry Schwartz; and Marriott International APEC President Rajeev Menon, to name a few.
South Australian Premier, The Hon Peter Malinauskas MP also took to the stage on Wednesday for a conversation with AHICE Group President James Wilkinson, discussing everything from the recent election result to investment in the state.
The hotel industry’s hot topics are up for discussion, with industry leaders unpacking everything from capital markets to franchising, white label growth, regional tourism, micro hotels and more.
