Choice Hotels Asia-Pac is introducing mandatory revenue management training for franchisees as part of its brand standards to drive performance and consistency across the network.
Through a collaboration with the Australian Revenue Management Association (ARMA), Choice Hotels Asia-Pac franchisees will be offered the ARMA Vocational Education and Training (VET) Short Course Qualification in Revenue Management as a required standard for its franchisees to achieve revenue management compliance.
The partnership aims to encourage professional growth of industry personnel.
“Revenue management is critical to the success of any accommodation operation,” said Kari Hunter, Senior Director Commercial and Revenue Management of Choice Hotels Asia-Pac.
“By working with ARMA, we are ensuring our franchisees have access to training that enhances their ability to help optimise revenue and improve profitability, providing them with a recognised short-course qualification.”
The VET qualification, accredited by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA), equips hospitality professionals with the skills and knowledge to navigate the complexities of revenue management in a competitive market.
ARMA Executive Chair, Melissa Kalan, said both businesses share a commitment to promote education, upskilling, and industry best practices.
“Choice Hotels Asia-Pac’s work with the ARMA VET qualification is a game-changer for the hospitality sector,” Kalan said.
“This collaboration highlights the strategic value of nationally recognised and accredited training as a key pillar of professional development in revenue management.”
