Melbourne hotel taps into growing popularity of pickleball with rooftop activation

Hilton Melbourne Little Queen Street (HMLQS) has welcomed the return of its rooftop pickleball court for an extended season this summer, following a successful run last year.

In partnership with padel club operator, Game4Padel, and racquetsports equipment manufacturer, Head, HMLQS will welcome both hotel guests and the public to play the sport which is quickly gaining popularity across the globe.

Pickleball combines elements of tennis, ping pong, and badminton, with players using paddles and a plastic ball on a half-size tennis court. 

Opened on December 19, through to February 28, the court features an exclusive Chateau La Gordonne rooftop lounge offering cocktails and bar snacks.

Starting this Friday January 10 through to Friday January 10, nightly Sip and Serve Sessions will feature curated cocktails and a DJ.

On Wednesday evenings, players can avail of sessions with a Game4Padel coach.
