Tell us a bit about your career journey.

I embarked on my career journey with Pullman Melbourne City Centre in 2017, when the hotel was known as the Swanston Grand Mercure Hotel. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work in various roles, starting as a Room Attendant and also taking on responsibilities as a Public Area Cleaner.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

What I find most fulfilling about my job is the variety it offers. Every day brings new tasks and challenges, which keeps my work both interesting and engaging.

What’s the most challenging aspect of your work?

The most challenging aspect of my role is ensuring guest satisfaction by promptly addressing their requests. It’s a dynamic environment where swift and effective responses are key to maintaining high standards.

How is technology impacting how you do your job?

Technology has significantly streamlined my duties. With the help of a mobile app, I can easily access guest requests and manage room assignments, which makes my job more efficient and organized.

If there was one thing that would make your job easier, what would it be?

One thing that would enhance my job is greater support in managing high volumes of requests during peak times. Additionally, debunking the myth that housekeeping is a repetitive and monotonous job would be valuable. In reality, it is a dynamic role that requires adaptability and attention to detail.
