Hyatt has unveiled the results of a two-year transformation project at luxury Italian hotel, Park Hyatt Milano.

The hotel reopened on August 1, showcasing contemporary design elements alongside classic interiors in a neutral palette to deliver a sense of ‘understated Milanese elegance’.

“The reinvented atmosphere of the new Park Hyatt Milano combines well-beloved and unexpected touches to a deeply personal, luxury offering,” said Hyatt Area Vice President, Monique Dekker.

“Being able to make such an investment during a critical time for the hospitality industry is reassuring and, I know our team in Milan is thrilled to host local and international guests again.”

The renovation project saw upgrades to 106 guestrooms and 25 suites, as well as common spaces, which have retained the property’s historical identity.

The four Terrace Suites, Presidential Suite and Duomo Suite include panoramic terraces with view of the city and custom furnishings designed by Venetian Uno Contract. Artwork by Stefano Meriggi, Matteo Boato and Luca Brandi is also an important feature of the rooms.

The bathrooms feature marble vanities and hand-blown glass light fixtures, and new water pipes and modern air conditioning units – with FSC-certified materials – have been used for many of the refurbishments.

The new fine dining restaurant Pellico 3 Milano, which reflects the culinary traditions of France, Spain, Greece and Italy, was designed by architect Flaviano Capriotti. The ceiling and floor represent the sky and the earth through careful lighting and patterned flooring.

The hotel’s AQVAM Spa features a Turkish bath, multifunctional showers, and a jacuzzi bath with gold mosaic detail, and the wellness offering extends to a gym with the latest fitness technology.
