GM appointed for Ramada Resort by Wyndham Port Douglas

Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific has appointed Hani Daher as the new General Manager for Ramada Resort by Wyndham Port Douglas.

Daher has 16 years of hospitality management experience, working for the Radisson, Sheraton, and Marriot groups. More recently, he was Acting Area General Manager for Stamford Hotels in Adelaide and General Manager for Ramada Port Villa in Vanuatu.

“Hani brings much enthusiasm and expertise to his role,” said Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific Senior Vice President of Hotel and Resort Operations, Warren Cullum.

“His rich leadership experience as a director and manager for major international hotels and resorts is a great asset for the team in Port Douglas to continuously provide guests and club members memorable stay.”


Victoria Peterson, Hannah Stephens and Christie Haworth, The Langham Gold Coast

Three new appointments at The Langham, Gold Coast

Christie Haworth has been appointed Director of Sales for The Langham, Gold Coast and Jewel Residences managed by Langham. 

Haworth joins from Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort Gold Coast and will be responsible for leading the hotel Sales team across all market segments, domestically and internationally.  She previously held a pivotal sales role at The Star Entertainment Group, Gold Coast.

Since joining the business, Haworth has appointed Senior Sales Manager Hannah Stephens to manage the luxury leisure market and local MICE (QLD) segment.

Stephens joins from sbe Hotels in London where she was part of the Regional Sales team, managing specialist segments including Entertainment, Fashion and Groups.

Meanwhile, Victoria Peterson has been appointed Director of Marketing Communications for The Langham, Gold Coast and Jewel Residences managed by Langham.

Peterson spent almost eight years working with several brands within the InterContinental Hotels Group, including InterContinental and Crowne Plaza, and was appointed as the first marketing manager for the first voco Hotel globally.

 “I am thrilled to have Victoria, Christie and Hannah join me in opening the Gold Coast’s newest luxury hotel, driving the Sales and Marketing success for The Langham Gold Coast,” said The Langham, Gold Coast and The Jewel Residences, managed by Langham, Director of Sales and Marketing, Nick Clarke.

Andrew Hutchinson, AAT Kings

AAT Kings names GM of Product and Contracting

Guided holiday company AAT Kings has appointed Andrew Hutchinson as General Manager Product and Contracting.

Hutchinson, who will commence the role on April 19, joins from Tourism Australia, where he was General Manager of Domestic and New Zealand.

He re-joins The Travel Corporation after having previously worked for Adventure World for over four years as Head of Product and Operations.

“I’m excited to re-join the TTC family of brands and the opportunity to work for such an iconic brand as AAT Kings,” Hutchinson said.

“With the global tourism recovery underway, this presents a unique platform for the on-going evolution of the brand’s success, underpinned by a team effort to continue the development of the most compelling and innovative experiences across the AAT Kings Group and TTC partner brands.”
