Meeting rooms and hotel room blocks will be able to be instantly confirmed under Accor's new booking tool.

New cloud-based technology providing instant booking capabilities for groups, including real-time rates and a simplified RFP process, has been launched by Accor in partnership with Groups 360.

The new GroupSync platform will be implemented on Accor’s dedicated Meetings website before the end of 2021 and will also allow meeting planners and groups the ability to instantly secure bookings of meeting rooms and event spaces alongside being able to confirm blocks of hotel rooms for guests and delegates.

The online booking solution will be activated at the vast majority of Accor’s 5,200 hotels worldwide. Accor Pacific CEO, Simon McGrath, said clients and hotel teams will benefit from the introduction of GroupSync at Accor’s 400 properties across the Pacific.

Group arrivals can be made easier with room blocks confirmed instantly.

“Once live, this revolutionary cloud-based technology solution will provide many exciting new possibilities, including a streamlined and simplified digital RFP process, providing customers with real-time information on rates and availability, and an instant online booking functionality for meeting spaces (early 2022) and group guest rooms (late 2022).

“It will really enhance the user experience.”

Groups360 CEO, Kemp Gallineau, added the launch of its instant booking technology into Accor’s meetings structurer will greatly improve the program’s evolution and future adoption across the wider industry.

“GroupSync Engage will empower Accor to better serve its global markets by allowing planners to book not only meeting space but also group room blocks, F&B and audio-visual services in the same online transaction,” Gallineau said.
