An opportunity to enjoy a one-night stay at every one of Marriott International’s hotels and resorts in Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and New Caledonia has been launched, with entries only open to fully vaccinated Australians.

The competition has been devised as an incentive to encourage more Australians to receive their two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccine, which in turn will open up domestic and international borders and help to reunite families and friends around the world.

To be in with a chance to win, entrants need to sign up to the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program and in 25 words or less, describe what travelling means to you, before uploading your COVID-19 vaccination certificate to confirm your entry.

Five major prize winners will be able to enjoy a one-night stay at all of Marriott International’s brands in Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and New Caledonia. The prize includes stays at hotels including The Ritz-Carlton Perth, W Melbourne, Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park, JW Marriott Gold Coast, The Tasman in Hobart, Westin Resort Fiji, Le Meridien Noumea Resort and many others.

Marriott International Area Vice President, Australia, New Zealand and Pacific, Sean Hunt, said it was vital the company supported and incentivised Australians to get vaccinated as soon as possible.

“In line with the Federal and State Government national vaccination rollout, Marriott’s vaccine incentive program is designed to stimulate economic recovery for our industry,” Hunt said.

“As we head into the Christmas holidays, we want Australians to be able to travel to see family and experience travel across our nation again.”

The company says it has introduced a range of measures to improve access to vaccines for its team members across Australia, including roster flexibility and vaccination funding for staff in Fiji and Samoa to ensure the workforce is cared for and ready to work.
