Staff at Ovolo Group's hotels and resorts will be fully vaccinated by the end of 2021, the company said.

Designer hotel operator, Ovolo Group, has announced a commitment to 100% staff vaccination against COVID-19 for the health and safety of its guests and team members, along with incentives in place for in-house guests who have had both jabs.

The company’s new ‘Vax. Pact’ initiative will ensure that all of its employees will have had their first inoculation by 31 October 2021 and be fully vaccinated by the end of this year. Currently, the company’s Australian leadership team have either had their first or both vaccinations, with 85% of Hong Kong employees and 76% of its Bali workforce with at least their first jab in arms.

Ovolo is helping to facilitate easy access to vaccination for its staff.

Ovolo is helping to facilitate access to vaccinations for its staff by providing time off around work hours to get the jab and covering out-of-pocket expenses associated with getting vaccinated.

In addition, guests staying, eating or drinking at Ovolo’s hotels will soon be able to enjoy rewards for showing their MyGov proof of vaccination certificates, such as dining offers, access to exclusive competitions and other Ovolo perks yet to be detailed.

During the pandemic last year, the company was the first Australian hotel group to mandate full mask wearing across its customer-facing hotel teams. The commitment to masks was an expansion of its ‘OC/DC – Obsessive Commitment to Deep Cleaning’ policy, designed to highlights its cleaning, hygiene and sanitisation protocols.
