Marriott Bonvoy's loyalty program will continue to grow under the company's new leadership.

Easier and faster access to Mobile Key and more one-touch functionality are some of the improvements rolled out by Marriott International in a relaunched Marriott Bonvoy smartphone and tablet app.

The Marriott Bonvoy 3.0 app now features recent expansions to the company’s portfolio including Homes & Villas by Marriott International, co-working through Marriott Bonvoy’s day, stay and play passes along with new tours and activities.

Mobile Key is now accessible from the home page within the app.

A host of new one-touch buttons have been added to the app, allowing guests to easily request extras for their stay including baby cribs, pillows, towels, bathroom products and more through direct chat messages with staff. Room numbers will also now appear on the home page for easy access by guests. Partner promotions and short-term points incentives are also easier to access, including deals for local restaurants and car rental.

A new dynamic map allows users to search for their next accommodation by brand in any given location, along with filtering by price and points needed to book a free night. Personalised promotions will be displayed through the app to upper-tier loyalty members, with login now made easier through FaceID, TouchID and other phone security features.

Marriott International Senior Vice President, Digital, Leigh Zarelli, said the refreshed app simplifies the travel planning process.

The new app will soon be boosted with four additional languages.

“Through tailored, displayed offers, members can learn how to earn hundreds of thousands of points just by booking stays, or going about their daily lives’ grocery shopping, ordering takeout or buying items for their home,” Zarelli said.

Four new languages will be added to the app in coming months, with Italian, Russian, Portuguese and Arabic all coming online by August this year and joining the seven languages currently in place.
