Ovolo Group Founder and CEO, Girish Jhunjhnuwala, says the company is looking to further expand in Australia – including the desire to add a resort to the company’s assets – alongside seeking out opportunities across the globe.
Speaking exclusively on video to HM and sister publication WAYFARER in Hong Kong on the sidelines of the 2019 HICAP hotel conference, Jhunjhnuwala says adding a property in Perth and a resort are priorities for the company, as are landing new hotels in New York and London.
In the interview, Jhunjhnuwala also addressed the current unrest in the company’s home city of Hong Kong.
“Hong Kong has been hit very hard,” he said. “And the hardest hit sector has been the hotel sector.”
