Lancemore Crossley Street will offer 113 rooms in Melbourne’s theatre district.

Australian-owned boutique hotel group, Lancemore, will open its seventh property early next year, confirming a new project in the ‘Paris end’ of Bourke Street in the Melbourne CBD.

In collaboration with design firm Carr, the 113-room Lancemore Crossley Street will be located in a laneway near the Victorian capital’s theatre district and close to the Chinatown precinct. The property is currently undergoing a $10 million renovation prior to the opening of the new Lancemore location.

Five different room types will be available from which guests can choose, each featuring original commissioned work from some of Australia’s most talented emerging artists. A rooftop terrace will be available for all guests to utilise and take in the city views.

Lancemore CEO, Julian Clark, said he was excited to be adding the group’s collection ahead of the formal launch of the new Lancemore brand later this year.

“This is our most ambitious project to date in, what is in my opinion, the best location in our home city Melbourne. The design will breathe new life into the building, referencing its past and present, to capture the essence of the city.”

Lancemore Crossley Street will be the fifth property for the group in the state of Victoria, joining stablemates in Werribee Park, Red Hill, Milawa and the Macedon Ranges.
