New dog-friendly rooms have been added to all Ovolo Hotels properties across Australia and Hong Kong, encouraging guests to bring their canine friends along with them, the company has announced.
The move from the self-professed industry disruptors comes with a variety of benefits for an extra $80 per night on top of room rates. Guests booking the specially equipped ‘V.I.Pooch’ rooms will find their rooms decked out with a dog bed on arrival, eating and drinking mat along with food and water bowls.
Ovolo’s complimentary Loot Bag has also been spruced up for furry friends, with a supplementary ‘Doggy Bag’ packed with healthy dog snacks, dog toys and poop bags for guests to use while taking their pet out for a walk.
Guests can bring up to two dogs per room under the new price band.
When quizzed about the move, Ovolo Hotels Founder and CEO, Girish Jhunjhnuwala simply replied: “Why not”, adding that most hotels reject guests wishing to bring along their canine pals during a stay.
“We’re thrilled to offer this unique perk to extend our ethos of effortless living. Trips are more fun with your best friend, so why put your V.I.Pooch in a kennel? Your furry friend can snuggle into their own bed and dig in to a special doggie bag curated just for them,” Jhunjhnuwala said.
