The Accommodation Association of Australia (AAoA) is targeting job seekers in an industry-driven promotion aimed at finding new talent.

In collaboration with the National Advisory Board for Employment (NABE), formed by the AAoA Academy, the association has developed an industry-led video, which will be showcased to approximately 50,000 job seekers.

Recruitment, Retention and Education are three key values for the AAoA Academy and the NABE with the growing demand of the workforce.

The AAoA Academy, through key Registered Training Organisations, delivers highly practical pre-employment programs with an internship/work experience component.

“The training is critical to give job seekers skills and confidence to enter into their on-the-job training phase to gain employment and commence their career with further training and development,” said AAoA Academy Director, Troy Schufft.

The greater accommodation, hospitality and tourism industry is one of the largest employers in Australia with significant projected growth.

A Deloitte report projects 285,000 new jobs in the hospitality and tourism industry by 2025, and the AAoA says finding good talent is becoming an increasing issue for the industry.
