Hilton has launched ‘The Hilton Effect’ in Australia, with the first local edition featuring Sydney’s West Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton Sales Executive, Georgia Spencer.

Georgia is the daughter of the late Ashley Spencer, who retired from Hilton in 2015 having most recently served as the company’s Vice President of Operations for Australasia. Prior to that, the elder Spencer built a career as an accomplished General Manager, moving his family across the world to new Hilton posts on average every two years.

Speaking from her experience growing up in London, Nigeria, Jerusalem, Cyprus, Istanbul, Kuwait, Cairo, Singapore and then finally Sydney, the video shows Georgia Spencer reflecting on this unusual childhood, with the only consistent element in each city being the family connection to Hilton.

Now part of the Hilton team herself, Georgia speaks about this intrinsic connection and how working for the same company as her father gives her that special extra connection to what is essentially the family business.

The Hilton Effect is a story about the indelible connections shared by multiple generations of family members who have worked at Hilton hotels worldwide. It comes as the global hotel brand prepares to celebrate its 100th birthday on May 31, 2019.
