Vibe Hotel Adelaide will feature 123 guest rooms.

Guest rooms with unobstructed views to the north and south of Adelaide will be the standard in a newbuild Vibe Hotel, as TFE Hotels introduces the brand to the South Australian capital city for the first time.

To be located in the city’s east near the Convention Centre, Adelaide Casino and Rundle Mall, the new Vibe Adelaide will offer 118 rooms and is due to open in 2020. TFE Hotels has partnered with developers Guava Lime and architecture brand Loucas Zahos Architects, which together have envisaged a glass-fronted tower complete with open-plan bathrooms, cantilevered baths and full-height windows.

Hotel facilities will include a rooftop lap swimming pool, spa and sauna, restaurant and bar. In an interesting twist, the new hotel will allow brave swimmers the ability to move between the new Vibe Hotel and the ONE Apartments complex next door while remaining inside the pool. There will also be a pedestrian bridge linking the two buildings. At ground level, an additional restaurant and bar will also be available, as will a fitness centre.

Guava Lime has been working for the past 16 years on a new-look Flinders Street precinct, which it says will become the focal point for both leisure and business travellers to Adelaide.

A rooftop restaurant at Vibe Adelaide will offer views across the whole city.

TFE Hotels Managing Director Allan Vidor said the new Vibe Adelaide would become a highly-sought location perfect for all types of travellers.

“Vibe Hotel Adelaide will be a real flagship hotel for the brand, with beautiful architecture and interior design that make the most of its spectacular position, taking in views across the whole city and all the way to the Adelaide Hills.”

The Vibe brand has a strong pipeline, Vidor added, saying the current nine outlets would grow to 13 in the next few years, including the new Adelaide property. A Vibe hotel also opened in North Sydney earlier this year.

“We have another three Vibe Hotels under construction already: at Queen Street in Melbourne, Argyle Street in Hobart and Sussex Street in Darling Harbour, Sydney. Each has an innovative and attractive design and is located in a developing area of each city. It’s a very exciting time for the brand.”
