Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has grown its network in Queensland, opening its newest Ramada branded hotel in Brisbane.

The Ramada by Wyndham Brisbane Windsor takes over the 61-room Brisbane International Windsor Hotel following a moderate refurbishment. Located just north of Bowen Hills near the Brisbane CBD, the hotel is located close to local attractions such as the RNS Showgrounds, Brisbane Convention Centre and is around 15 minutes to Brisbane Airport. It is the second Wyndham property in the city following the TRYP by Wyndham Fortitude Valley and the 22nd Ramada-branded hotel or resort in Australia.

Each room or suite at Ramada by Wyndham Brisbane features a spacious desk and free wi-fi for business travellers. Families can take advantage of special triple-share rooms, while suites also offer a kitchenette and a separate living and dining area. The hotel also offers an Italian restaurant, fitness centre and outdoor swimming pool, while corporate guests can also access two conference and meeting rooms. The hotel has been integrated into the Wyndham Rewards program.

Ramada Brisbane General Manager Brent Christofferson said the hotel was well positioned to become one of the city’s leading midscale properties.

“As one of the most famous names in the hotel industry, Ramada is the perfect fit for our hotel, allowing guests to enjoy world-class accommodation and amenities in a prime location on the doorstep of the city’s leading corporate sites, sporting arenas, and tourism attractions.”

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, South East Asia and Pacific Rim President and Managing Director, Joon Aun Ooi added: “As the largest city in Queensland and a key economic and tourism centre for the whole of Australia, Brisbane is an impactful new destination for the Ramada brand, which has enjoyed strong traction in this country.”
