Novotel Sydney Darling Square – formerly the Novotel Rockford Darling Harbour – has undergone an extensive refurbishment across each of its 230 guest rooms.

The revamp was inspired by the neighbouring Chinese Gardens, with the colour scheme, finish and lighting of each guest room designed to capture the tranquility of the gardens.

Simon McGrath, Chief Operating Officer of AccorHotels Pacific said Novotel Sydney Darling Square’s position and refurbishment complement the development of the Darling Square precinct and surrounding area.

“The Darling Square precinct continues to undergo a large amount of development and improvement and the area is thriving, particularly since the opening of the International Convention Centre. With the abundance of dining and entertainment attractions nearby, Novotel Sydney Darling Square is in a prime position to capitalise on this investment in infrastructure and it is an exciting time to be part of the Darling Harbour precinct”.

The hotel’s new lobby bar and restaurant Pier Street Kitchen has also opened, offering guests and locals a brand new option for breakfast and dinner.

In the evening, guests can also pop by to neighbouring Pumphouse Bar for evening dinner and drinks.

Novotel Sydney Darling Square is one of three properties owned by the Singapore based Frasers Hospitality REIT to be operated under management agreement with AccorHotels in Australia.

Chin Fen Eu, CEO of Frasers Hospitality REIT said that new look and newly renamed Novotel Sydney Darling Square is the perfect option for guests looking to stay in the rejuvenated Darling Square precinct.

“The complete renovation of this asset has been an exciting project for us. The location on the door step of ICC Sydney and Darling Harbour positions the hotel extremely well to cater to a diverse range of customers coming to the area for different reasons. We are delighted with the design that Batesmart have created and it’s been very pleasing to see it come to life.

“The repositioning of the product makes this the ideal time to strengthen our partnership with AccorHotels in Australia and move the hotel to a management agreement. We have confidence that the strong presence AccorHotels enjoys in the precinct will benefit the property and allow it to flourish and achieve strong performance over a sustained period.”
