One of Australia’s leading hotels experts, Nigel Greenaway, has been appointed National Director, Hotels at Colliers International.

The move sees Greenaway return to the hotel industry from his most recent role as Chief Executive Officer – Australasia and South East Asia of EP&T Global, a company focused on energy management.

Prior to that, he spent ten years as Fund Manager at Eureka Funds Management, was Fund Manager at Colonial First State Property overseeing their Marriott hotel portfolio in Australia, and was Regional Director at Southern Pacific Hotel Corporation, which is now IHG.

“The appointment of Nigel to our Hotels team adds a whole new dimension to our offering with his background as a property investment manager, fund manager and real estate asset manager specialising in the hotels sector,” said Gus Moors, Head of Hotels at Colliers International.

“His deep knowledge of the hotels sector and diversity of skills including asset management, hotel operations, as well as equity and debt funding, means we will be able to offer our clients a unique level of service.

“Nigel’s career path, from hotel operations, hotel accounting and finance, to investment services makes him ideally placed to advise our clients across a range of real estate needs and assist them in accelerating their success.

“I know that he will make a valuable contribution to the Colliers hotels team and the wider company as we seek to grow our business and expand our expertise,” Moors said.

Greenaway has also been heavily involved with several industry boards including Tourism Australia (Investment Advisory Committee), Australian Hotels Association, IHG Owners Association and the Tourism and Transport Forum.
