Victoria’s newest hotel, Four Points by Sheraton Melbourne Docklands, has been confirmed to open on March 28.

The 273 four-star hotel forms part of the new Marina Tower development and is the first international hotel in the busy Docklands area, offering the largest inventory of guest rooms and meeting space in the precinct.

“We’re excited to open the doors on our new property that’s been very carefully planned, designed and built to create a warm welcome to both business and leisure guests and bring Four Points hospitality to this part of the city,” says Four Points by Sheraton, Melbourne Docklands, General Manager, Stephen Ferrigno.

Designed by Melbourne-based DKO Architecture, the contemporary aesthetic fuses a dark charcoal and aquamarine palette with blonde timber, bleached grey-wood panelling, abundant marble and glass, fresh greenery and deeper notes of black and bronze.

The sparkling centrepiece is a 7th floor Sky Lounge complete with 25-metre heated outdoor pool, Jacuzzi and vast pool deck with impressive city views, as well as a sleek and welcoming lobby and lounge bar that’s set to serve Four Points Best Brews program of local beers, boutique ciders and brews.

City or Yarra River views are on offer from each of the modern and comfortable guest rooms, including 16 larger studio rooms.

Guests will enjoy all of Four Points’ defining touches, including free bottled water in all rooms, the refreshing Rainforest shower, a 42” flat screen TV with comprehensive selection of cable channels, the Four Points signature bed and fast and free Internet access throughout the property.

With over 500sqm of function space, the hotel can welcome up to 200 guests for conferences and meetings, weddings and social functions. All function rooms are equipped with WiFi and professional AV facilities, allow flexible configurations and diverse catering or business support services. The room options span between private, first-floor meeting rooms and banquet function space to the impressive 7th floor Sky Lounge, which includes a spacious bar and lounge area, breakout boardrooms and outdoor decking perfect for event drinks and cocktail parties with a dynamic city view.

Complimentary, energising breakfast with fresh coffee is served to guests each morning, while Dock 18, the relaxed all-day dining restaurant, extends a menu that heralds grain and grass fed beef, pork and lamb sourced from nearby farms for an ever changing line up of BBQ’d, braised, cured, smoked and grilled dishes that are flavourful, fresh and seasonal.

The ground floor Best Brews lounge bar is the perfect spot for colleagues, friends or family to gather over a local beer as part of the Four Points Best Brews program, which offers a selection of local and international wines, boutique ciders and brews. The Melbourne range features a range of craft beers from Mountain Goat brewery in nearby Richmond through to Japan’s famous Asahi brewery.

Set amongst Docklands growing business district and famous sporting and family attractions including Etihad Stadium and Melbourne Star Observation Wheel, Melbourne City’s free tram network stops right outside the hotel’s front door, placing dining, nightlight culture as well as the iconic laneways, markets, boutiques, theatres and galleries within easy reach.
