Event Hospitality and Entertainment Ltd (Event) has secured the management rights to the Reef Resort Port Douglas in Queensland.

From November 1, 2016 the resort will be rebranded to Reef Resort Port Douglas by Rydges offering resort life with the convenience of self-catered accommodation in the form of one-, two- and three-bedroom villas boasting 98 rooms and set amongst 15 acres of tropical gardens.

“Event Hospitality and Entertainment are no strangers to Far North Queensland owning and operating four hotels across the Rydges and QT brand, as well as three cinemas under Event Cinemas and Moonlight Cinemas,” said Norman Arundel, General Manager of Rydges Hotels and Resorts.

“With The Reef Resort Port Douglas by Rydges joining our stable will strengthen our offering for our PGR Members and also bring new elements to the resort through our standard offerings such as complementary WiFi, fun mini-bar concepts.”

Each of the two-storey villas at Reef Resort Port Douglas by Rydges includes plenty of living space featuring stylish lounge and dining areas, a fully equipped kitchen with a separate laundry and a balcony or patio, giving guest ample privacy, room to relax, unwind and be the master of their holiday.

Reef Resort Port Douglas by Rydges comprises of two lagoon-style swimming pools and with barbeque facilities and a restaurant and bar.
