Last night (Nov 13), the Northern Territory Chief Minister, Hon Adam Giles MLA officially opened the newest addition to the Quest Serviced Apartments network – Quest Berrimah, in one of Darwin’s fastest developing suburbs.

Quest General Manager – Brand, Tony Gauci and Quest Berrimah Franchisees, Mark Lisiecki, and Richard and Trisha Hartshorn joined Mr Giles to celebrate the grand opening, with a cocktail party held at the brand new property.

Giles welcomed this new addition to the Top End’s suite of accommodation options for corporate travellers.

“Quest Berrimah is perfectly located to service the city’s major gas projects and expanding industrial area,” he said.

“Darwin is a growing city with an increasing demand for quality short to medium term accommodation for visiting staff, close to their workplace. Developments like this are exactly what we need to help ease the accommodation squeeze in the city and free up hotel rooms for holiday makers.”

Quest General Manager – Brand, Tony Gauci expressed his enthusiasm for Quest’s growth strategy in the Territory, and confidence in the continued success of the booming capital city.

“Quest maintains its long-term commitment to growth in Darwin, opening three new properties in the city during the past four years including the brand new Quest Berrimah,” Gauci said.

“Darwin and the Northern Territory as a whole continue to go from strength to strength, with key drivers of the economy including: defence, oil and gas, mining, construction and tourism.

“This impressive growth is expected to gain momentum as major projects reach completion and new projects commence. The city and Territory will both see significant benefits from the Ichthys LNG Project and Marine Supply Base, in addition to a number of other key investments the Territory Government has made in recent times.

“Already the Territory has noted a spike in employment, with opportunities expected to increase even further; Deloitte Access Economics forecasts an additional 16,000 jobs between 2012 and 2017 – an average annual increase of 2.5%.

“I am thrilled to be here tonight to celebrate the grand opening of this brand new Quest property and I have every faith in the abilities of the franchisees – Mark Lisiecki, and Richard and Trisha Hartshorn – to ensure Quest Berrimah is a great success,” he said.

To commemorate the opening, Quest Berrimah Franchisees made a donation of $2,000.00 to the Royal Flying Doctor Service, a not-for-profit organisation of great importance to the Northern Territory, which provides essential primary health care and 24-hour emergency service to remote areas.

Developed by PTM Group, Quest Berrimah is located at 4 Berrimah Road, Berrimah and comprises 88 studio and one bedroom serviced apartments.

The new Quest property is the ideal accommodation option for the corporate traveller; situated just 8km away from the Darwin Airport and only a 15-minute drive from the capital city’s CBD, with quick access to the Darwin Corporate Park, Berrimah Business Park, Wishart Business Precinct and Winnellie Industrial Precinct.

The serviced apartments feature fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities, an alfresco dining area, swimming pool, onsite parking, Wi-Fi access, Foxtel, iPod docking and multi-unit desk chargers. Guests will also have access to Quest services including local restaurant chargeback, pantry shopping, dry cleaning, babysitting booking services and business administration.

Quest Berrimah is one of twelve new Quest properties to open this financial year across Australia, including Adelaide (SA), Woolloongabba (QLD), Melbourne Airport (VIC), Townsville (QLD), Albury (NSW), Liverpool (NSW), Nowra (NSW), Newcastle (NSW), Kelvin Grove (QLD), Chermside (QLD) and Toowoomba (QLD).
