Mantra Group has hit 50 hotels in Queensland with the unveiling of Mantra Midtown Apartments in Brisbane this week.
The addition firmly establishes the Group as the largest accommodation provider in the State, with over 8,000 rooms offered across its Peppers, Mantra and BreakFree hotel brands.
The hotel marking the 50th milestone, Mantra Midtown Apartments, is a 143-room full serviced apartment hotel located on Charlotte Street. It has operated as an independent hotel since opening in 2012 prior to rebranding as Mantra this week.
Mantra’s Brisbane hotel network now totals seven properties having added four hotels in the Brisbane CBD in the last 6 months.
Mantra Group CEO Bob East said the company’s expansion in Brisbane was part of a long-term view for the market.
“We’ve emerged from a period where Brisbane had an under supply of hotels which has now been rectified,” he said.
“We are confident that the demand in Brisbane will continue to grow over the next five years sparked by post G20 interest and we are in a great position to offer the most comprehensive mid-range accommodation for the city.”
