Oceans Resort & Spa Hervey Bay_2 - EDITED

Choice Hotels Australasia has launched into the new financial year with further property growth as it partners with three new Queensland and New South Wales based properties.

Oceans Resort and Spa Harvey Bay and The Kingsford Brisbane are the two latest Queensland based Ascend Hotel Collection properties to join the group’s portfolio of boutique hotels, with luxurious accommodation offerings. The third new edition, Comfort Inn The Lodge Mudgee, located in New South Wales adds to Choice Hotels’ group of great value and reliable properties.

The additions form part of Choice Hotels’ plans for further expansion across Australia for all of its five brands – Econo Lodge, Comfort, Quality, Clarion and Ascend Hotel Collection. Already this year Choice has added an additional 20 properties to its portfolio.

Trent Fraser, Choice’s Chief Executive Officer, said he was delighted by the level of growth Choice Hotels has experienced across the market over the last few months.

“Our strong brand reputation is creating a lot of interest from existing hotel owners as well as investors in the industry. We are excited to bring all of these new properties into our portfolio and look forward to this increased interest continuing as we look to expand even further,” said Fraser.

The 5-Star Oceans Resort and Spa Hervey Bay is an ideal base to explore southern Queensland’s Fraser Coast with its apartment styled waterfront location. The 128 room property features two lagoon pools and an onsite restaurant.

The new build, 4.5-Star The Kingsford Brisbane, offers 35 contemporary designed deluxe boutique rooms, each with entertainment suites and spa facilities. Added to the properties services is an onsite café.

Travellers seeking value and reliability will be impressed with the addition of the 3.5-Star Comfort Inn The Lodge Mudgee. The property is currently undergoing a major refurbishment which will see the conference facilities to support the growing business market in the region. Other property features include a salt water pool, fitness centre, Route 66 Cocktail Bar and the newly renovated Henry Lawson Restaurant.
