The CBD expansion continues for Mantra Group, having completed the rebranding of two new hotel acquisitions in Melbourne and Brisbane.
Mantra St Kilda Road Melbourne and Mantra on the Quay Brisbane – both formerly managed by Mint Hotels and Apartments – offer upmarket apartment style accommodation in key city precincts for both corporate and leisure guests.
The new acquisitions takes Mantra’s Melbourne hotel network to seven and the Brisbane hotel network to three in total.

“Sustained increases in demand continue to outpace growth in supply in the Melbourne market, creating an environment for rate driven RevPAR growth.
“Demand is always strong in our current Brisbane hotels – Mantra South Bank and Mantra on Queen – so to bring further inventory of such a high quality into the group for our growing corporate client base is a very positive outcome.
“Brisbane continues to be a buoyant market; albeit not at the same heights of two or three years ago; however we predict a period of moderate but sustained growth post G20 Summit,” East said.
Mantra St Kilda Road offers 159 spacious studio, one and two bedroom full serviced apartments that feature gourmet kitchens, large living areas and balconies with spectacular views across Albert Park Lake, the Royal Botanic Gardens and the Domain Parklands.
Other in-room features include iPod docking stations, WiFi and broadband internet and LCD TV with digital channels. Having only opened in 2011, the hotel is a contemporary design with modern furnishings and facilities.
On-site restaurant, Bistro Bakini, is open for breakfast and lunch and serves modern Italian cuisine in the evenings. Conference facilities for 120 people are also available and meet the highest standards in environmentally sustainable design (5.5-star energy rated).
Positioned on the edge of the Brisbane River, Mantra on the Quay is situated in the heart of Brisbane CBD close to Eagle Street Pier dining precinct, Riverside Centre and major shopping areas and offers 185 one, two and three bedroom apartments.
River or City view apartments all come with large spacious balconies with fully self-contained facilities. An outdoor heated pool, steam room, gym, full size tennis court and barbeque area are also available to guests.
