Far East Hospitality’s CEO, Arthur Kiong, says the company is looking to expand further in Australia and enter Europe with joint-venture partner Toga.
Speaking exclusively on camera to HM at the recent unveiling of the renovated Rendezvous Hotel Singapore, Kiong said the company wanted to invest further into Australia and grow Toga’s brands, as well as look at Europe, where Toga has a solid footprint of Adina hotels.
He said the time was right for further growth, particularly on the back of Chinese travellers.
Far East Orchard and Toga announced a joint venture in late 2013 that has seen Toga assume management of Rendezvous Hotels in Australia and New Zealand, as well as explore opportunities to introduce some of Far East’s brands into the Australasian market, including Quincy.
He spoke about those topics and more in the second of a three-part interview and to view the video, click on the YouTube image at the top of the page.
Part three of the interview will be broadcast on HM online next week.
